Lauren Passwater is the artist behind the Wood & Bean name. Though her current technique is focused in pyrography, more commonly known as “woodburning”, she has dabbled in a range of mediums.

Lauren studied Graphic Design while attending the University of Montevallo but, ultimately, graduated with a BA in English. Her path after graduation took her as far from “creating” as anyone might dare, only to bring her back full-circle by dropping her into the art scene of her hometown, Huntsville, AL.
