Photo Space

Choosing the best photo studio rental space be one of the most rewarding decisions made on your entire shoot. You need a space that suits your subject but offer flexibility at a reasonable price with captivating backgrounds. At Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment we have the photography studio space to fit your photographic style and mood. Our Third Floor Warehouse offers an expansive open warehouse space flooded with north window light for private portrait sessions, while Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment buildings and grounds are also available for fashion and group photographs. Make that photo session easy for the photographer and memorable for the clients by creating your photographs at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.

  • Photography is permitted on the property during public hours only and does not include individual studio spaces.
  • Photo Passes may be obtained at the elevator office behind Door 13, 1st floor.
  • FEE: $40 per hour/ $60 per hour for groups of three or more.  *See section on Special Occasion Photography. 
  • The 3rd Floor Warehouse can be reserved during our public hours for private sessions by calling 256-533-0399 or by emailing events@lowemill.art.  This space is not climate controlled.
  • NO GLITTER or CONFETTI is permitted for any photo sessions on property or in the 3rd Floor Warehouse.
  • NO blocking of walkways or doorways with equipment of any kind.
  • NO moving of furniture or artwork in galleries at any time.
  • NO reproduction of any artwork on display may be used for the purpose of resale or commercial use.
  • Any incidental depiction of artwork on display is encouraged to tag the artist with any web or social media handles provided on the gallery walls.
  • *Special Occasion Photography is permitted on the property during public hours only and is considered any of the following:
    • Prom/Homecoming/Formal portraits
    • Senior portraits
    • Company portraits
    • Fashion photography
  • Special Occasion Photography must be coordinated through events@lowemill.art or by calling 256-533-0399.  Groups in this category are considered any organized/coordinated gathering wishing to photograph in large groups anywhere on the property.
    • FEE: $160 per hour for groups larger than 15 persons otherwise the base PHOTOGRAPHY FEE, mentioned above, will apply.
    • Fashion photography of this nature is considered any organized 'fashion shoot' involving multiple models and standing equipment required for the shoot.
  • Videography must be coordinated through events@lowemill.art or by calling 256-533-0399.
  • Videography is considered any recorded footage by professional/personal camera or phone with the intent of reproduction for commercial or artistic use.  Including but not limited to; cinematic film, music video, fashion video, vlogging, promotional video or television commercials.
  • NO loud audio playback will be permitted in the common spaces for Photography or Videography.
