“My artwork consists largely of minimal designs that are informed by nature. I design pieces around the natural forms and colors of the rough gemstones I am inspired by. I discover creativity in unique gemstones; their textures and array of colors echo the organic qualities that I love. I work primarily through forging— shaping, soldering, and finishing metal are the core of my practice. In the immediate future I will be carving wax findings to cast into precious metals, adding a new facet to my work. Ultimately the process of transforming raw metals into jewelry is a passion that allows me to share a bit of myself with others.”
