The exciting processes of working with molten glass are thousands of years old, but for Terry Hale this is always a new experience! The chemical makeup of glass allows for endless colors and special effects, many of them yet to be discovered. Terry draws her inspiration from the glass itself, allowing its movement and feel to guide the bead shapes. She then applies surface decoration that enhances those forms. Her creations range from classic styles to whimsical sometimes sculptural, pieces. Using ancient techniques to transform fragile glass rods into durable, wearable, and functional art and knowing that these tiny works of art will exist for many ages is what draws her to the flame.
