SOMETHING SPECIAL ART STUDIO | STUDIO 109

Missy Richey, a seasoned early childhood educator, has developed ‘Something Special Art Studio’ in Studio 109 at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.

Richey’s eclectic style of art and crafting is currently producing a variety of projects in her studio. She creates colorful fun Jim Henson “muppet” style puppets that bring happiness to folks both young and old and custom puppets for her clients.

Missy also creates children’s clothing. Currently Richey is creating a line of popular bucket hats for children and adults that are made from dyed blue jeans and a variety of cotton material. Richey loves embroidering and embellishing these whimsical hats.

“Lowe Mill A&E is a special place where art and happiness happen for all kinds of people. I just adore being here to create Something Special,” says Richey.
