Jon Hendricks – “Veiled Curtain”

Jon Hendricks currently living in Knoxville, Tennessee with wife Amanda, a clowder of cats, and a dog named Beaker. Hendricks has been an artist his whole life and teaching art for over twenty-five years. Jon has been working as a mixed media/installation artist after his brief stint as a printmaker in undergrad at the University of Tennessee. Hendricks realized that he prefers the “messy hands”approach to his art and mark making. The pieces have evolved into light & shadow installations, mixed media paintings, and found object encaustic sculptures. Working in aspects of memories is very important to his current work. He allows all of the pieces to be previously worked and touched by other hands, thus allowing another added layer of time and an encapsulation of the past into his pieces. [MORE]
