Melanie C. Dockery is a modern abstract and mixed-media 3D artist and the owner of Creative Arts by Melanie LLC, located at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment – Studio 2050. Her artistic journey began as a personal creative outlet and quickly evolved into a passion for transforming everyday materials into expressive works of art. Melanie’s signature style blends modern abstract painting with textured, layered, three-dimensional elements, often incorporating found and unconventional materials to create bold, visually engaging pieces.

In 2019, Melanie officially launched her business, turning her love for art into a creative platform that brings people together through artistic expression. Now celebrating seven years as a business owner, she has expanded her work beyond the canvas by hosting paint parties, art experiences, and interactive workshops for children, teens, and adults. She also created Melanie’s Abstract Art Bar, an interactive creative experience where participants explore abstract art using paint, textures, and everyday objects to freely express their creativity. Her motto, “Art is Therapy,” reflects her belief that creativity is both healing and empowering. Melanie also offers custom commission artwork, working with clients to create unique pieces that reflect their personal stories, spaces, and vision.

Melanie is passionate about giving back and staying involved in the Huntsville community. She participates in local festivals, expos, and community events while also offering art camps, pop-up art experiences, and creative workshops designed to make art accessible and enjoyable for all ages. Through her studio at Lowe Mill, Melanie continues to inspire others to embrace creativity, find joy in self-expression, and shine their light through art.
