Liz Onken is an abstract expressionist painter based in Huntsville, Alabama. She earned her BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting and drawing from Auburn University.

Named Emerging Artist of the Year in 2018 by World Art Collector magazine, Liz is known for her bold abstract paintings, as well as her mixed media and textile-based works. Her art has been exhibited in galleries across the United States and abroad.

After years of working and studying in other cities, Liz is excited to return to her hometown, where she continues to create and exhibit work inspired by both her Southern roots and international experiences.
