Jules Carter | Studio 324

Jules Carter is an abstract expressionist artist. In her work you’ll find that she emphasizes the importance of intuition in the creative process. For Jules, art is about trusting the flow of creation, where each movement leads naturally to the next. She values the spontaneity and organic development of her work, prioritizing the process itself.

Jules Carter’s focused style being expressionism means that her work emphasizes the depiction of emotional experiences rather than physical reality. As an expressionist she often uses exaggerated and distorted forms, bold colors, and dynamic brushstrokes to convey intense emotions and subjective perspectives.

Originally from New York, Jules resides in the Huntsville area of northern Alabama. Her work is currently exhibited at Studio 324 inside the Nation’s largest privately owned art center, Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

“Intuition is central to everything I create. It is about trusting the process…. making one movement and allowing the next to follow.”
