JENNIFER STOTTLE TAYLOR | STUDIO 1068
Painting
Jennifer spends time selecting motives that will allow her to zero in on the essence of a subject. Her excellent display of colors and drawing skills allows her to paint anything she sees, but her focus is something deeper. That "thing" Jennifer is digging for in her paintings, whether it be the back lit horse in a barn, light patches strewn across an otherwise modest path, or late light illuminating neighboring farms, is embedded in the fabric and texture of the scene making it emotive and worthy of notation. An image that appears commonplace in one moment, can become a source of inspiration in a flash.
Jennifer's take on her paintings is classic, not as in old fashioned, but rather that which will live on and continue to be relevant and relatable into the future, as "some things never change". Her handling of materials and careful analysis juxtaposed next to her spontaneous execution make her paintings delightful and meaningful. She invites the viewer to take in the depth of her own imagination and sentiments, and journey to that intimate space inside themselves for review, reflection and ultimate enlightenment.
