About the workshop:
Participants begin by writing words, memories, fears, hopes, and experiences directly onto a canvas. Those thoughts are covered with a base layer before creating a finished painting representing healing, resilience, hope, recovery, or their vision for the future. The workshop is conducted within the exhibition ‘What We Carry / What We Release.’
About the instructor:
Taylor McLendon is a Huntsville-based visual artist whose work explores memory, resilience, identity, grief, and healing through large-scale paintings, murals, and immersive installations.
$95 per student
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate. No painting experience required.
Materials Supplied by Instructor: Canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, palettes, pencils, markers, aprons, and all consumable art supplies.
