Renee Lowder Studio 127 with Pyewacket Press in amazing Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment wants you to discover the mesmerizing art of Japanese paper marbling with Suminagashi, a technique that literally translates to “floating on water.” In this class, you’ll learn how to create stunning, one-of-a-kind marbled patterns by gently floating inks on the surface of water and then capturing those swirling designs on paper. The process is calming, almost meditative, and the results are always surprising and beautiful. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned artist, you’ll find joy in watching your designs come to life in a fun and supportive atmosphere led by Renee, a fantastic printmaker and instructor.
