Sounds Bites: A Progressive Art Walk of Lowe Mill
September 2 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
RR 2
This year, Rocket City New Music is kicking off their 5th Season right here at Lowe Mill A&E! Sound Bites is a one-night progressive percussive concert experience unlike anything Huntsville has seen before. Rather than presenting a concert in a single room, audiences are invited to journey through the mill, discovering a series of immersive performances staged throughout this historic 1901 building.
Each stop of the evening pairs contemporary percussion with the work of local artists and delicious bites and sips, creating an experience that celebrates Huntsville’s creative community while encouraging audiences to explore every corner of the mill.
As performers and audience move together from one destination to the next, the boundaries between concert, gallery, and gathering begin to disappear. The result is more than a concert. It’s an experience that puts the performing arts, visual arts, and culinary arts in direct conversation with one another, serving as a concrete example of Huntsville’s creative community operating as a unified ecosystem.
Featuring performances by:
Percussionists Waichi Champion, Benjy Krauss, Sean Ritenauer, Marcelina Suchocka, Andrea Venet, Bryan Wysocki, and a world premiere by composer Chris P. Thompson.
