Shane Adkins – at HTMA Coffeehouse

The Huntsville Traditional Music Association’s Coffeehouse Series presents Shane Adkins – Wednesday, Nov. 18th at 6:30.

Shane Adkins is, very simply, a stellar finger/thumbpicking talent. Inducted into the 2022 National Thumbpickers Hall of Fame, he believes that fingerstyle guitar is an American musical form that should be preserved and shared. He writes historical songs that tell intriguing stories, funny songs full of laughter, and touching songs that will tug on your heartstrings. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry and has won numerous awards on the national and international levels.

From Hazel Green, Alabama, Shane has performed for the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society as well as opening for Lee Greenwood and Loretta Lynne. He won the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2005 and the 2003 Thumbstyle Guitar Championship in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
If you want to see and hear Shane’s blazing skills on the guitar, you’ve come to the right place.

Opening for Shane will be Harmony Sound & Friends, fronted by Wayne Eames of Harmony Sound Five Points, who will be joined by some guest players. Wayne and his friends plan to open the Coffeehouse with some traditional bluegrass and American standards, with guitar, Dobro, banjo, upright bass, and mandolin. You can expect some very lively music at this band’s first appearance!

Tickets are available NOW at huntsvillefolk.org.

General admission is $20 + tax, while HTMA members pay only $15.

The Coffeehouse venue is HTMA’s Studio 1038 at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.

Don’t wait, this may be one of the best shows all year!
