About the exhibit:

The collaborative exhibit of new work by sculptor Steve Davis and painter Lorrie Lane is all about the southern landscape, a place filled with trees, rivers, lakes, and humid skies. Davis’s tree and leaf forms seem to move and twist organically, reflecting the abundant natural growth present in Alabama. Lane’s focus on tree-lined water edges is more about the memory of a moment by the river than a specific place. Informed by the Transcendentalists, filtered through a contemporary art point of view, their shared vision creates a contemplative space for appreciating the natural world.
