Huntsville Traditional Music Association Presents – The Po-Boys New Orleans Sound

Join us at the Huntsville Traditional Music Association at Lowe Mill A&E, Studio 1038, on October 21st for an evening with The Po-Boys New Orleans Sound – a multi-genre band specializing in traditional New Orleans Jazz, Blues, and Brass Band music.
Based in North Alabama, The Po-Boys will compel and delight with displays of multi-instrumentalist talent, crowd connection, and authentic historical musical styles.
Our regular roster of Amy Hoppe, Ian Bevel, Lorenzo Addy, Ryan Grider, Ben Jobe, and bandleader Jeff Carroll collectively consists of two trumpeters, two trombonists, two drummer/washboarders, two bassists, two tubists, as well as one saxophonist, clarinetist, pianist, guitarist, and banjoist each.
Opening for The Po-Boys: Folk musician and long-time HTMA member Jack Ellis joins our own Erin Keniston, outstanding vocalist and 12-string guitarist, for a selection of ballads and love songs stretching from 19th century Appalachia to the 1970s.
