Renee Lowder Studio 127 with Pyewacket Press in inspirational Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment invites you for three nights of fun and learning. 

Get ready for an exciting and hands-on three day creative journey from September 25 through September 27, 2024.

Night 1 : September 25 kicks off with an introduction to the essential tools of the craft. You’ll get familiar with the carving tools, learn their purpose, and dive into the process of transferring your unique design onto your base. From there, the real fun begins as you start carving, transforming your ideas into a tangible work of art.

Night 2: September 26 is all about bringing your design to life through carving! You’ll continue refining your image, honing your carving techniques, and getting into the rhythm of your creative flow. Once your piece starts to take shape, you’ll learn the art of registration—ensuring your prints align perfectly every time—and get hands-on with preparing your paper for printing.

Night 3: September 27 is the grand finale, where you’ll become a true printmaker! You’ll master the inking process, learning how to apply just the right amount of ink to your plate. After a few practice proofs, you’ll be ready to create your final prints on luxurious artist-grade BFK Rives printmaking paper. By the end of the night, you’ll have your very own high-quality prints to take home and showcase.
