Currently on View: Heather and Cassie Strauser – H & C ARThibits

This exhibition round includes works provided by Heather and Cassie Strauser which will be on view in the First Floor Ramp Gallery from November 22, 2023  – February 3, 2024.  Lowe Mill A&E invites patrons and art lovers to join us for Open Studio Night, a building-wide experience when our over 150 studios will be open to the public.  The evening also includes receptions for all seven of our gallery spaces. This series gives the public a chance to meet and interact with visiting artists and discuss their work as it is on display and available for purchase. Come out, enjoy a pleasant evening, and maybe you’ll find that special piece of art that speaks to you!  The Open Studio Night reception is Saturday, February 3 from 5-7 pm.

 

About the artists:

Heather Strauser

Hello everyone, my name is Heather Strauser.  I have been drawing since the age of 2yrs old.  I am a self taught cartoonist and drawing artist.  Being a huge television and movie fan, most of art is focused on those two genres.  I also love to create art for kids and portraits.  I am open to anything when it comes to drawing and my main goal is to make others smile with my skills.

A little back-story on my life throughout the years.  I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up till the age of thirteen in Avon, Indiana.  We then moved to Franklin, Tennessee and that’s where I graduated from high school.  I was accepted to O’More School of Design in Franklin but then decided that I would rather be doing cartoon work instead of designing clothes.  I moved to Alabama in 2010 and got married to my best friend in 2012.  2013 was a big year for us as we welcomed our daughter Cassie (who is also an artist) and moved into a new home. We are serious cat lovers, having five felines, and also two rats.  They are my other children.  I started an Instagram account a couple of years ago.  There you can see some of my other artwork in which I post a picture a day on.  If you would like to give me a follow @the_imperfect_arts_studio I would greatly appreciate it.  I also take drawing requests as well and again I love to make my followers smile each day.

I really hope everyone enjoys the exhibit I have presented.  It means a lot to me to be able to present again at Lowe Mill A&E.

Hi, my name is Cassie Strauser and I am 10yrs old.  I really love to draw and be creative.  I also enjoy playing soccer and having fun with my friends.  I really do hope you enjoy my artwork.  Have a great day!
