Meet self-taught graphite artist Kyle Smith! Kyle's art has been evolving as he explores what life after a military career means for him. Kyle began drawing as a therapeutic practice, and what started as doodles and smudges soon became these detailed pieces you see today!
He uses only pencils and charcoal to create these hyperrealistic works, and while they might be monochromatic, they're full of life! When asked about his medium of choice, Kyle says that “the answer is simple, really. Or should I say simplicity. There is something timeless and beautiful about graphite, and when executed properly it can produce amazing results.”
